MONTE is a skate punk band from Brooklyn, NY that comes with a strong sense of self and attitude. If you’re ever afraid to be just who you are and do all of the things that you want to do, MONTE is here to remind you that that’s the way life should be lived. Genre-wise, “Canna-Vision” is very much centered in the pop-punk vein of things but there are nods throughout this song to things that are a bit heavier and with a bit more attitude. It’s that attitude that has me hooked on this band. Whether you pick up on the snark in the lyrics or the carefree yet slightly combative energy in the video, MONTE will have you ready to get up on top of your desk, kick some things around, and truly start your workday off right.
MONTE’s first ever full-length album is due out this spring or early summer and will surely be worth your attention so make sure to follow this band so you don’t miss updates on that!
