One of the things that hooked me about “Make It Better” by Bleeker was the fact that it was attached with the description of “a ‘thrill is gone’ type of vibe”. I didn’t know what that meant and I wracked my brain to try and figure it out before I pushed play on this single. I never quite figured it out but, as soon as “Make It Better” started playing, it all made sense and I couldn’t help but fall head over heels in love with this song and this band.

Although the easiest thing to say about “Make It Better” is that it’s an alt rock meets indie rock anthem, I feel like it’s so much more than that. The vocals have an almost hint of metal to them that keeps this song feeling intense and slightly aggressive while the instrumentation showcases more of a swagger that Bleeker pulls off so well. Honestly, if you listen to the lyrics, you realize that, although a dark and twisty song, there’s something oddly empowering and very positive here. This is especially evident during the chorus. Whether you want to latch onto the lyrics of this song or just the pure musicianship that reign supreme throughout the three minute and ten second song, “Make It Better” from Bleeker will have you hooked.
