I’ll be honest, my day just took a turn. I’m sick of clients right now and am about to go absolutely ballistic on a couple of them. Sometimes I think I should give some of my clients my log-in information for my email and tell them, “Here–All you have to do is keep up with all of these emails for an hour,” and watch them sweat. It’s a constant flow and a constant drowning of coorespondence that, some days, I can keep a handle on but, on others, it gets the best of me like right now. This all just means I need a break- a breather- and I can’t think of a better way to spend my little break than with “A Sitcom Without You Is Just a Drama”.
“A Sitcom Without You Is Just a Drama” instantly hit me. The beginning instantly reminded me of Hotel Books. It’s spoken word placed on top of dazzling guitarwork all wrapped up in a beautiful bow of Midwest emo. It takes quite some time for the chorus to hit (don’t worry, you’ll know it when you hear it) but I like that constraint. It shows that Midwest Goodbye has a sense of creativity in his compositions and I loved that. I kept waiting and waiting for the drop and, when it finally happened, I felt this ball hit the back of my throat in a way. I was an emotional wreck as I listened to this song all the way through but, when it was over, I felt like I could breathe a little bit easier. Release some of your stress and aggression– check out Midwest Goodbye and treat yourself to a little musical therapy.
