I can feel myself slipping into my normal rabbit hole of nostalgia as far as my music choices go today. That’s not a bad thing but, with so much amazing new music out there, I always feel a bit guilty that I spend my days with bands that have come and gone. I need something that both quenches this nostalgia-seeking thirst while giving me hope for the future of music and “Mine Cart Carnage” from Glitch Kingdom does both of those things so perfectly.
“Mine Cart Carnage” is pop-punk-perfect. There’s no other way to put it. It comes with a sense of power and intensity along with that sense of nostalgia that I seem to be in the mood for today. The lyrics of this song is about the anger and frustration you may feel for those people around you that are stubborn and close minded. I think it’s safe to assume that we can all relate to that feeling and I love how Glitch Kingdom has somehow perfectly encapsulated that frustration and anger so perfectly into this song while making sure it’s still a bop. There are twists and turns throughout this song that will keep you on your toes so listen to the whole thing and, when you fall in love, make sure to throw Glitch Kingdom some love on their socials!
