I’m not going to say that things feel normal. They are far from normal and there’s no end of that in sight but I will say that checking out some new music this morning and putting my energy into that rather than obsessing over social media and various reports of where ICE agents are around me is helping me immensely and I don’t want to keep this feeling secret so, although I know I just recently shared out the first single of the day, I’m back with another song that is absolutely worthy of your attention this morning.
x2 fast is not a new band to me. I have shared a couple of their songs out in the past including “Chameleon” and “Slam Dunk.” I adore both of those songs but I think that “For the Better,” a newer release from this band, is my favorite thus far. I love this so much because it’s a song about nostalgia (which, if you know me, you know I’m a sucker for) but, at the same time, has a message about change and growth. It has a positive vibe to it and an infectious energy making it the perfect pop-punk anthem to help you escape the insanity of the outside world if only for three and a half minutes. Like every good pop-punk bop, it also has an undeniable sense of heart that drips out of every beat of this track. x2 fast isn’t a new band. They have been grinding for a couple of years and have a good amount of music out there and I really think that if this song tells us anything, it tells us that x2 fast is going to hit their stride and the stars in 2026.
