My phone has been ringing and buzzing all morning and it’s honestly a bit overwhelming. I’m just feeling a bit overwhelmed and in need for some new music to help me just chill out for a couple of minutes. Well, the three minutes and thirty-eight seconds I spent listening to “Lost Boys” from Outatime! did just the trick.
If you like New Found Glory and Four Year Strong, this track is for you. The vocal style has a very close resemblance to those of Jordan from NFG during the verses and the chorus brings more of that two-stepping goodness you get from Four Year Strong. It’s the perfect blend of all of my favorite elements of pop-punk and tied up with a bow of perfection. Outatime! has that perfect balance of nostalgia and new with an infectious energy that will turn around even your most stubborn frown.
Outatime! has been around since 2015 and released their first EP back in 2020. I have no clue what rock I’ve been living under and am truly surprised that this is the first time I’ve ever heard of their name but this will not be the last I hear of them nor the last that I try and convince you that Outatime! should be your new favorite band.
