Girl at the Rock Shows

It has been an insane day. That’s not a bad thing but means that I haven’t had much time to dig into some of the amazing singles piling up on my desk. Although taking a break right now from my e-mail grind is probably not my best idea, I want a new jam to soundtrack my afternoon. Thankfully, the first single on my list was a complete banger and did just the trick.

As soon as “Nothing To Lose” from SICK MINDS started playing, it hit me like a ton of bricks in all of the right ways. A classic hardcore energy full of slamming drums, grinding guitars, and strong vocals, I instantly fell in love with the classic nature of this song. I feel like this is something that makes hardcore different for me. Typically I am looking for new and innovative but, when it comes to hardcore music, I just want that classic two-step vibe with a side order of pure aggression and that’s exactly what you get from this track. I know I should really get back to the grind but I plan on spending some time digging to ‘Too Dumb To Die’– the album that this song is off of.
