It’s a new week people and that means a whole new slew of music for me to tempt you with so why even wait? Let’s dig into my first single of the week which happens to be “In The Place Where The Knife Had Been” from Elsewhere.
Although this tracks starts with a sound sample (which I couldn’t place probably due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to movies), it doesn’t take super long for Elsewhere to come in and take this song to a place where only they could. Heavy and with plenty of epic breakdowns, there’s a sense of anger this song that I really appreciated. That’s not to say I’m angry today, because I’m not… at least not yet, but I just appreciated the power that is conveyed through both the vocals and instrumentation of this song. The anger in this song is apt as it’s about how we are all destroying the environment but I only know that because of a quick blurb the band sent me when sending this single my way. I’ll be honest, I couldn’t understand many of the words in this track but knowing that was just another selling point when it comes to “In The Place Where The Knife Had Been”. Don’t let this Monday be just like any other Monday. Push play on this amazing song from Elsewhere, turn up the volume, and let this be the way you kick your week off!
