It’s one of those “get shit done” kind of days for me. Laundry is going downstairs, I am halfway through cleaning windows and I have already swapped out my glass front door for the screen one to get some more fresh air in here. What I’m trying to say is that I am having a good day and am feeling accomplished but am missing some new tunes to help me continue with this random spurt of energy and motivation so let’s dig into “Don’t Let It Out” from The Sherlocks to see if this does the trick.

“Don’t Let It Out” is an indie rock anthem through and through. Although it’s honestly lacking that sense of aggression that I typically look for in tracks, I adore everything about this song. There’s an undeniable sense of heart that comes through in the vocals and there are multiple parts throughout this four minute and ten second track that instantly turned into earworms for me. On top of that, is the video. I know it seems a bit overdone but the visual of clowns throughout this video (I promise, they aren’t the creepy kind of clowns) really shines a light on the heaviness of the lyrics in this song. Like usual, I’m not going to give away this whole track whether video or actual song but I will say that “Don’t Let It Out” from The Sherlocks not only evoked a sense of emotion in my soul but also gave me that motivation I was looking for to keep going today.
