It’s somehow already noon and although I’ve gotten a lot done thus far today, I feel like I haven’t put even a dent into what I still need to get done. I’m trying not to get discouraged but it’s getting harder and harder as the time ticks by today and I need a song that helps bring me back to level ground. Let’s see if “Going To The Party” from Sweet Bike does the trick.
I was in love with this track within just the few first seconds. The power of the instrumentation is staggering but what really caught me were the intricacies that can be heard from the get-go here. A perfect blend of post-hardcore, emo, punk and everything in-between seems to be Sweet Bike’s calling card and believe me when I say it’s a perfect blend. Everything about this track is dynamic whether it’s the literal dynamic sound of the song or just the dynamics and emotion that come through with every single word. “Going to the Party” is off of Sweet Bike’s debut album ‘Ode To Coty’ which is already out. I know I have a million things to do today and I have an early show tonight but work be damned, I’m taking a break to check out this album as a whole. What an amazing song from a band that absolutely deserves you attention.
