I am a very cautious driver– maybe too cautious if you ask my friends– so I find it hard to relate to the song title, “Stop Signs are Merely Suggestions”. That being said, this song from Moving Boxes is absolutely relatable so I’m able to look past it.
This is another pop-punk-perfect kind of track. Although there are clear nods to all of the epic pop-punk bands that came before now, Moving Boxes has a super distinct modern twist on the style. It’s as if Hot Mulligan and Sincere Engineer had a baby that was obsessed with the technical guitar work that comes with a band like Movements. Like I said, it’s nostalgic but that mostly just comes from some of the elements that make up the track. Overall, Moving Boxes has a super fresh sound that will make you excited about the future of the genre.
