In case you haven’t caught on yet, I love NLM. I have covered two singles from this Minneapolis group already (“Uncool Kids” and “Dying Inside (Without You)” and I’m back today with another one. “Isn’t It Obvious?” that you should check out this band? Okay, cheesy but, seriously, NLM’s new single “Isn’t It Obvious?” is yet another track that is absolutely worthy of your attention and ears.
Driving drums, soaring guitars, and pop-punk perfect style to boot, “Isn’t It Obvious?” is one of those songs that will instantly make you smile if you ever spent time in the early 2000s pop-punk scene. It’s a throwback song with a modern sound. Taking influences from everything from New Found Glory to Mod Sun, the blend that this band has found between old and new is flawless. On top of all of this, there’s an endless amount of energy that seems to radiate from this track to your heart in an amazing way. I don’t care how tired you are, how far behind on work you are, how stressed you are– “Isn’t It Obvious?” will fill your heart and soul with life and energy.
