Time doesn’t stop and somehow it’s already Monday. Do you relate to this statement? If so, then you need to hear “New Balance” from Kidd Judo because it is truly perfect for your Monday morning and a jumpstart to the week.
There something oddly familiar and nostalgic about this song but also something that I just can’t quite describe. There’s elements of everything from post-hardcore and screamo heard throughout this song but there are also almost jazzy elements throughout. A little Chiodos but with smoother vocals that lean a bit more into the indie-rock vein of things at times, I loved the energy and unique style of Kidd Judo within the first few seconds of this song. Although there are some parts that are intense and others that are more ambient, there is not a moment throughout “New Balance” that is not drenched in pure and raw emotion which makes this song a super powerful listen.
You can get lost in this song or pay close attention to the intricate instrumentation throughout. Regardless of how you enjoy this track, you will surely enjoy it so check it out!
