You know me and my obsession with obnoxious song titles so it’s no surprise that I am sharing “Cliff Main Whip-Its (The Night I cried To Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay)” from Manners. I mean, just look at the song title.

All joking aside, this song is absolutely amazing. Although it starts off slow and ambient, you get hit with a wall of sound thirty seconds in. I was expecting super aggressive and angsty vocals just based off of said wall of sound but, instead, was treated to something a bit lighter with the vocals. The contrast between the vocals and the heavier instrumentation creates a super cool and distinct vibe that can only be described as that of Manners. A song about recognizing your self-worth, I loved the triumphant feeling that came over me as this song rang through my office. It was the absolutely perfect track for a Monday morning where I would give anything to be anywhere except at my desk. The vocals do grow in angst and aggression as the sound builds and seem to come to a climax right around the 2:00 mark where you get a true showing of passion and power from this band that persists to the end of this track.

So start your week off right with “Cliff Main Whip-Its (The Night I cried To Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay)” from Manners. I promise you will not be disappointed!
