Have you caught onto the fact that I’m perpetually exhausted? Probably. So it should be no surprise that when “Caffeine” from Deadweight. came across my desk, it caught my eyes. I mean, without caffeine, I am nothing. Truly. So this song already spoke to me on a deep level before I even hit play. It’s when I hit play on this track that everything changed. Okay, that’s dramatic, but holy crap this song is amazing.

Deadweight. is a pop-punk-perfect band from Montreal, Canada. Their brand of pop-punk dabbles a bit more into the dark side of the genre rather than the super boppy side but that means this song both catches you and makes you feel something deep in all of the right ways. From powerful verses to a chorus that will surely get stuck in your head for days to come, I feel like Deadweight. really did a great job of paying homage to the early 2000s pop-punk scene while also making sure they stand out from all of the groups trying to revive that scene right now. Everything about this track from the vocals to the drums to the production to the mastering is truly flawless which is just the icing on the cake when it comes to how solid this song is. So get your day started off with a perfect does of “Caffeine” courtesy of Deadweight.
