I’ve shared out a couple of amazing songs so far today but just realized that I haven’t give you a daily dose of pop-punk perfection so let’s dig into The New Pacific’s track “Coming Home”.
I mean, I just laid it out for you– this is pop-punk perfection. Catchy hooks, heartfelt lyrics, powerful drums and guitars– this song has it all and it’s capped off with a sense of perfection. The balance throughout this song is absolutely flawless whether you are looking at the balance between instrumentation and vocals or the balance of energy and emotion. Lyrically, this song is painfully raw but in a good way. Honestly, with the day I’ve been having and how I’m lost in my head over the text mentioned in a previous post, this song really hit hard and perfectly. I think that Nicole Alvarez of 106.7 KROQ in Los Angeles put it perfectly, “The New Pacific are the kind of band that made me fall in love with music. They are the future and they don’t even know it. Definitely the band to root for.” Well, The New Pacific, like Nicole Alvarez, I am absolutely rooting for you!
