Although there’s a lot of amazing music being dropped today, there’s also a lot of music that came out years ago but never quite got the attention it deserved. An example of this is “A Mile In Clown Shoes” from Sour Tongue.
Although I wasn’t given any information on this band or this two-year-old song, I don’t need any back story to figure out how amazing this song is. The attitude in this song is off the charts right off the beginning and stays consistent throughout the three-minute twelve-second song. With a sound that sounds a bit like Queens of the Stone Age meets Dead Kennedys, the power behind this track overall matches that attitude I mentioned. Vocally, there’s a sense of angst that comes with every word but the vocals have this odd way of just sliding from word to word in almost grunge style. What I’m trying to say is this song is all over the place and pretty unclassifiable but is absolutely perfect and amazing. Sure, this song is two years old but it’s new to me which means it’s surely new to some of you so check it out and show Sour Tongue some love!
