Girl at the Rock Shows

This will be my third post on Phil the Band. I try not to play favorites with bands being that there is so much amazing music out there but every time I hear something new from Phil the Band, I feel the need to share it with you and their track “Stupid Things” is no different.

Phil the Band is a four-piece band from Arizona that has such a classic yet unique sound. That sound comes through loud and clear in “Stupid Things”. You can hear little nods to everything from pop-punk to alt-rock and it has elements that bring an almost 90s vibe to a very modern sound. What this all means is that Phil the Band is for everyone. “Stupid Things” is a complete bop and will surely get stuck in your head upon first listen. Although it is a bop, there’s a sense of depth to the song that can not be understated. That depth comes from both the instrumentation and vocals. Everything about this song is relatable but mostly the words. You know by now that I’m not going to give it all away in this post so you will just have to check it out for yourself but trust me when I say this is worth your attention today and Phil the Band is worth your attention every day.
